Hayat Foundation went to Indonesia in order to support and communicate with the refugees and meet their requirements and to support the efforts by the Government of Indonesia and Indonesian associations. The visit included the city of Medan and the city of Aceh and during the visit was to identify the situation of refugees and to identify the most prominent difficulties and after several sessions Foundation provided a package of solutions to these difficulties.
The Director of the Foundation met one of the officials of the UNHCR and during the meeting the two sides exchanged draw support these refugees and their rehabilitation and their needs.
Mr. Abdul Aziz bin Mirdah the foundation’s director said that this visit comes in the context of supporting minorities and strive to strengthen communication with these groups, who fled from the oppression of Buddhists, have moved to some Asian countries, noting that the Hayat Foundation trying to provide sustainable projects enable refugees for earning a legitimate manner to be a useful members of the countries that host them praising the efforts of the Government of Indonesia and its people and charitable institutions that have contributed significantly to the alleviation of the suffering of this people.
It is worth mentioning that the oppression practiced against minority Rohingya in Myanmar caused the displacement of hundreds of thousands of the minority and the crisis continues to this moment.
