A delegation from the humanitarian organization Hayat Trust has reached Dubai to take part in the Dubai International Humanitarian Aid & Development Conference & Exhibition(DIHAD). The delegation includes the director of the organization, Abdul Aziz bin Mardah, as well as some other members: Abdul Wahab Sante, Jazi Al Taiy, and Abdulhafeez Shafa. The exhibition, starting on the 21st March, will last for three days. Relief and humanitarian organizations and associations from countries all over the world are going to participate; business training workshops will be held for the benefit of the participants as well as conferences to share their experiences in various relief and humanitarian domains. By participating this year Hayat Trust is seeking to highlight its efforts with the marginalized minorities in addition to building bridges between humanitarian and international organizations working in the field of relief. We aim to explore ways of cooperation with similar groups and associations and to promote the knowledge of our mission through the distribution of brochures and publications to the visitors of the exhibition, humanitarian actors, suppliers of relief products, institutional representatives, potential donors, etc. This will be the first time our organization will attend such a high profile international forum. Through attending the “DIHAD” conference and exhibition we aim to further the humanitarian relief work and develop and coordinate joint programs to reduce the suffering of disadvantaged people in the countries exposed to natural disasters, conflicts and wars. The exchange of ideas and experiences will be the basis to enhance relief and development and humanitarian cooperation. The event is attended by senior decision-makers, procurement and logistics representatives, members of of the major international, regional and local non-governmental organizations, United Nations agencies, government departments and international associations, with the aim to exchange knowledge and experiences through presentations, discussions and meetings. The event will host the display of new trends in operational support and logistics services related to relief and aid; it will also constitute an opportunity to strength communication between local, regional and global actors in the field of humanitarian and development programs.
